After your practical test and, as you are already at the MoT, just walk in with your shiny certificate (plus a photo) and apply for the license (with the corresponding fee). In a few days they will contact you to go and pick up the license from the MoT at which point you will be able to.
After a fortune in fees, you have your full driving license! Do not forget to back to the insurance and collect your green card as you can now drive into Spain (or anywhere else in the world!)
