Your driving license is issued by the Gibraltar Government - and this entitles you to drive beyond our frontiers in countries across the world. Some countries accept a Gibraltar driving license, however other countries require you to have a standard license, known as an International Driving Permit, which shows which licenses you have and entitles you to drive in most countries across the world.
You do not need an IDP in Spain (tour Gibraltar license is accepted), across Europe or in the UK, but you need one in other countries such as the US or most countries in Asia. You can check (and, if required, order one) from the MoT website.
